I want to go to law school after undergraduate school, and I'm trying to put myself in the best position to do that. I think going to Stanford would be a good start! However, money is a bit of an issue. Here are my stats:

SAT:
2300 (CR: 780, M: 750, W: 770)
1530/1600

Subject tests:
Math II: 750
World History: 760
US History: 790
Chemistry: 800

GPA:
4.0 UW

AP Classes:
Four so far: World History, US History, English Language, Chemistry (all 5's on the exams)
Taking 6 AP's senior year

Mediocre extracurricular activities....some pretty neat research internships for the past 2 summers, coaching soccer for the past 4 summers, varsity soccer for 4 years in high school, and volunteering at hospital for the past two summers

I plan on majoring in economics, if that information helps.

Thanks, and any additional info helps a lot!

My assumption with Stanford is that if you’re Asian or White and have no legacy at Stanford, you have an extremely slim chance of getting into Stanford. Just to be on the realistic side.

I’m actually Hispanic–does that help any in terms of admission?

Probably, but I don’t have any stats on it.

^That’s probably because schools don’t typically release information on scores/stats by race. The last stats I heard were that the average for an Asian’s SAT applying to an Ivy level school is about 100-200 points higher than a whites which is, in turn, 100-200 points higher than someone hispanic.

Hispanic is a URM (you’re an under represented minority) which is also known as a hook. Hooks do help in admissions. You may be familiar with others- recruited athlete, low income, etc. While you’re no recruited athlete, you are still hooked.

You really have a good chance being a hispanic(URM) with your stats 5s on all Aps and 2300 definitely help!is English your second language? Just write a good essay and you are probably in!good luck

I think you have a very good chance with those stats and being a URM.
