Chance at Stern

Hi, Im a rising junior from Illinois and was wondering if I even had a shot at Stern.

GPA: 3.9/4 UW
Rank: 7/420
SAT I: 2100
ACT: 31
SAT IIs: USH 750 Bio 720
Extracurriculars: President of Speech and Debate Team, created a microfinance company, Scholastic Bowl, Student Council, NHS(running for president), Spanish National Honor Society
2010 Tom Cross Youth Council: Tom Cross is the house minority leader in the house of reps for illinois.
I will be interning for a congressman over the summer as well.
Awards: National Qualifier for forensics, Sectional Champion in Impromptu Speaking and Second place at sectionals for extemporaneous speaking

Do I have a shot?

test scores test scores test scores.

You’re like <25% percentile with ACT/SAT. Not a good place to be, but not impossible either. Stern is highly GPA/test score focused, despite its claims to be comprehensive.

would u recommend applying ED?

I got in with a 2150 and a lower GPA so get that SAT score higher.

(I did have legacy here however)

I think you should retake the ACT and SAT. I got a 34 on my ACT and eventually matriculated into CAS as a mathematics major.

You have a decent shot even without ED, but I recommend retaking some tests especially the ACT, they super-score the ACT.
