Also, all the classes I have taken are mostly Honors, I exceed expectations in both science and I take a lot of art classes. I understand my chances of getting into Tisch are low, and I just wanted help seeing what other schools have Commucating & Advertising Art majors. If you go to Tisch or know people who go there, can you give me your advice? I know I'm above adverage for their SAT score, but my GPA is WAY below the required 3.6, but since it's their art school, does my GPA count that much? Or does my portfolio and essay count more? HELP PLEASE!</p>

<p>Exactly, you have no problem getting in cause you have all the requirements, I'm missing .5 on my GPA! lol Does NYU care about sports? I did Winterguard...</p>
<p>You're both OVER-qualified for Tisch. If you send in exceptional artistic works, you're set. Also, connections to famous names also help. I know an actress (who was at the time not very well-known but still had good recommendations from directors) who got in with 400 CR + 400 Math!</p>
<p>Well, if you're uncertain about how good your works are, I would work on your GPA. If you are absolutely confident in your works (like you have won awards and such), then I wouldn't worry about grades.</p>
<p>Well I haven't won any awards and I havent done too much film. I have taken a class but no summer stuff. I dunno if i have enough experience for them to like me. But yeah the GPA, #1 is like a 5.5. So it's a very tight race between 20-5 ranks.</p>
