You have solid grades and decent EC’s. I think the rate us low us due to the fact that many unqualifie students apply there. You have a decent chance. Have you taken the SAT yet? If not try it out and see if you can get a better score than the ACT, then you are set!

You’re probably going to get in! If you can bump your ACT to a 32 or even a 33 you’re in for sure! Your ECs are really good too!
Thanks for chancing me :)

ok for the record everyone, i have taken the sat once and i did very mediocre, which was depressing because my score did not align with all of my hard work in high school. so i will never ever take the sat again, haha a very painful memory it has become in my mind. i am taking the act again this saturday so i’m crossing my fingers i can bring my composite score at least up to a 32!!! oh and thanks everyone for the advice, anyone else?

I still have to say it again, because I am amazed this thing about the SAT keeps being said. Tulane’s 25-75 ACT is 29-32, with the median score something like 30.5 or 30.7, I forget. So over half the students have an ACT under 31. Of course a 32 only makes things better, but a 31 is very solid. I don’t understand why people are acting like a 31 is not very good! It is 98th percentile, for God’s sake, if Wikipedia is correct.

well i say you have a good chance personally, maybe up your standardized test scores and do a few more EC’s to make you a clearly in. thanks for chancing me. gl

thanks! anyone else?

I think you’re stats look pretty good. I’d say you have a nice chance of getting in. Early Admissions and Early Decision will both give you a much greater chance of acceptance, but be absolutely positive about you choice before you commit to one school. Best of luck!
P.S. If you would chance my that would be great. Thanks!

The SCEA rate is generally higher than RD rates, though self-selection of the applicant pool is one factor in that.

Your GPA of 3.7 is within their average range. Average SAT’s below 1850 and 2110, or an ACT of 29-32, 31 ACT is within this range as well.
You seem like a very average applicant for Tulane. If you take the SAT and score well, or raise the ACT just a few more points, then I’d consider your chances excellent. Even without an increased score, with good essays and recs you should have a very good chance at the school.

My daughter’s stats were definitely lower than your stats, and she was accepted SCEA. You should be fine!
