So...... Do you think I have a chance at the U of Chicago with these stats? I would be very interested in joining their cross country and track and field teams.

Secondly....Would you think they would recruit an athlete like me with times like and if so, would this increase my chances?:
5k Race 16:45
800m 2:01
1600m 4:30
3200m 9:57

i think you have a VERY good chance. but no, i wouldn’t send in your times because they already see that you’re a good runner. if they wanted to recruit you for your running, they would’ve contacted you and seen your times already.
still, you’ll do fine getting into uchicago. i know people much lower credentials that have gotten in :)

You run a mile in 4:30? Impressive. Yes, you should have a great shot!

chance me anyone?

Awesome stuff! Man. Makes me jealous because our stats are similar, our top schools are similar, our leadership in ec’s is also similar, but your a runner and I’m an actor. You should be fine. Good luck, and hope to see you at orientation 2012 ;)

Your academics are quite good. However, if you want to use your athletic edge, contact the coach. They dont always contact you since Chicago is not in Division I.
