I am amware that my GPA is low by Berkeley standards, however I hope my SAT score can make up for it. I have only taken honors classes up to this point so I have no record as far as AP exams go, but I am hoping to crush some subject tests in the near future. I am also confident that my Pre-Cal and AP Calc teacher will give me a strong LOR, as will my 3-year Spanish teacher. Do I have any hope??

I think it mainly rests on your class rigor at this point. What is your weighted GPA? Your UW GPA is not too low, but if your weighted GPA is higher then you should be fine. Your SAT score is solid, as are your extracurriculars. I think you’ll be fine, but remember that UC’s don’t accept letters of recommendation. Write a strong essay, take some more rigorous classes your senior year, and you’ll have a decent shot. :)

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate me! I looked over your page but I really just don’t know enough about the process to give any decent judgement.
