<p>Gotta raise those scores to be competitive. Maybe if your essays are some of the best ever you could get in with these stats.</p>

<p>those scores are going to kill you at places like uchicago.</p>

<p>definitely retake them before the deadline. you may want to try the SAT as well, who knows you might score well on that. but only do so if you are ready to.</p>

<p>I have to agree with both the people above me. You really need to raise your ACT score. A “typical” UChicago student has about a 30-33 on the ACT, I believe. But, if your essays kick butt, along with your recommendations you should have a chance.</p>

<p>Thank you! I know it is quite low for their acceptance average, but I am crossing fingers :slight_smile: It is also unfortunate my school does not offer many AP courses, the reason why I do not have many listed.</p>

<p>Yeah, you can’t change the number of AP courses at your school, so they really just want to know that you took what was available. But you CAN improve your test scores (or you should be able to if you want to be able to compete at U of C). Study up and take it again, and try the SAT, as suggested above. You have time if you are applying RD.</p>
