chance at UC's??? got a 2.8 and a 2100SAT

<p>i got only a 2.8 but i go to an elite high school in California. I don't have honors and ap's and very little extra curriculars and awards....</p>

<p>got a 2100 SAT and a 720 spanish and 680 US ....gonna retake..</p>

<p>No, it doesn't help. Going to a really bad school helps.</p>

<p>Actually, going to a really good high school helps your chances. Even though a 2.8 gpa isn't really that good (sorry to say), it's a better 2.8 per se than a 2.8 in a bad school. Your curriculum and school api score (that's if your high school is public) is better than some school in east LA or something like that. Going to a private school in itself is a benefit.</p>

<p>well i go to lowell high school, ranked #2 best in all public high schools in california and we dunt hav class rank...i hope it helps me...</p>

<p>I don't think UC's count api scores in admission process. Going to a bad school definitely helps.</p>
