Yes, my test scores aren’t very good, and I plan to retake the SAT in October. I have doubts as to whether I will do better because I stress out on these things alot.

I would also like advice on which other colleges to apply. Based on my research, there are many marketing agencies in NY. The reason I am pointing this out is because I want to land on internships and build connections while I’m still in school.

I think your ec’s and gpa are great for unc, especially considering you are in state. I am in state applying to unc as well and know a lot of people who got in with fewer activities. However, I do agree that you need to get your test scores up or it will still be a reach. I would say aim for a 30 and 1400 on the ACT and SAT respectively. As far as other schools go, I’m not too familiar with many NY-area schools, but if you get your scores up, I think you should definitely look into NYU.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m also hoping my essays increase my chances as well.
