Chance at undergrade b or med schools? im a slacker

Hey everybody, heres my situation, I've been fooling around all through high school. But now I realize how much I messed up my life by not working. I am an Asian immigrant who came to the US at the age living in NEW YORK (the government think that we are poor, I don't know if that has any effect on my chances). Here are my stats and please tell me if I have any chance of getting into any of the colleges. I don't care about any negative comments, just be honest. I appreciate it, thx. I also have listed the US news rankings next to the schools

GPA: 3.5 - 3.8 WEIGHTED (which is around a 90-95???)
Sat I: didn't take it yet but expecting 2000+
Sat II: 700 +-(us history) 650+-(biology)
My school does not have rankings
EC:
*Track from middle school to HS, but in HS I was injured so I didn't really go to any meets.
*French Club treasurer
*DECA (business club)
*Ambassadors club
* Interact Club (VP)

ok, here are my Reach schools
-{37} NYU stern(sterns harder, I think) or CAS <-----dream school
-{48} Penn State
-{50} Syracuse
-{60} Boston U
-{52} University of Texas – Austin
-{60} Texas A&M
-University of Richmond (liberal arts school)

Heres my Match (their actually, probably also lower reach schools)
-115 Northeastern
-97 SUNY stoney brook
-74 suny Binghamton
-109 Drexel
-74 michigan state
-68 Fordham
-66 University of Miami (its in ohio lol)

safes
probably the good ol community colleges

Thx for reading this. Please be honest about my chances (slim). I appreciate it every. THX!

oh yeah, Im gonna ed nyu, will that increase my chances?

Reading posts like this help me understand why HYPMS get to reject 90 plus % of applicants. That you found this discouraing means there's no one at your school really advising. Why is this so common?

It's a little difficult to rate your chances until you clarify a couple of things.

You said you had a 3.5 - 3.8 W average.

By this do you mean you have a 3.5 UW GPA and a 3.8 W GPA, or do you mean that you have somewhere between a 3.5 and 3.8 W GPA--and if it's this answer, then you need to figure out your weighted GPA or give me the specifics of how many honors classes, AP and IB classes you've taken compared to how many overall classes you've taken and I'll help figure it out for you. (Same with the 90-95 number by the way--you should know what you're average number is--or I'll help you figure it out if you give the info above.)

Also, you say you expect a 2000 SAT I. Is that evenly split?--667/667/666, or do you expect a higher score in one area over another--because we need to know this. The reason is because certain schools are math-based and others are verbal-based--so with, for example a 750/650/600, you would get rejected at one school but accepted at another.

Anyway, supply this info and we'll see what we can do.

Well I took all honor classes except math. I took humanities 9, 10, 11, and will be taking ap lit, eco, and 3 other aps next year. I took two ap classes this year (I'm a junior) and I'm taking around 5 next year. My gpa right now would be around 92 weighted I guess but I'm expecting to raise it to 94 if I work hard. My math is 670, reading is 710, and writing is 700. Thx for the advice. Oh yeah, I just took my sat II yesterday, so I don't really know what my score is. But is was pretty easy so I'm expecting a 700 on us history and at least a 650 on biology

bump can anyone give me a suggestion or my chances? thx

Okay, I'm going to give you some stats based upon 2005 admissions. In most case you will need high scores and better grades than these to get into these schools, but it will give us an idea of your chances.

NYU--Regular school is about 3.6 GPA UW, SAT I 658/660, Stern is well known for having a much higher GPA overall--1422 and a slightly higher GPA (around 3.7 GPA UW)
Penn State (University Park)--Average GPA is 3.56 UW and SAT 593/617 (1197 business school). It should be noted that Penn State bases its admissions on 2/3rds GPA and 1/3rd SAT
Syracuse--average GPA is 3.6 UW and SAT 610/625 (1191 business school)
Boston University--average GPA is 3.5 UW and SAT 643/656 (1283 business school)
Texas-Austin--averages are meaningless since you live out of state, and only 5% of their students come from OOS--so you would need much higher stats than the averages to get in there--averages are 3.65 and 603/627 (1304 business school),
Texas A&M--GPA U/W 3.4 and SAT 578/605 (1218 business school)
Richmond--GPA U/W 3.52 and SAT 655/665 (1315 business school)
Miami (Ohio)--GPA U/W 3.7 and SAT 590/610 (1246 business school)
Fordham--GPA U/W 3.64 and SAT 606/606 (1190 business school)
Michigan State--GPA U/W 3.55 and SAT 556/579
SUNY-Binghampton--GPA U/W 3.6 and SAT 607/643
SUNY-Stoney Brook--GPA U/W 3.6 and SAT 565/611
Drexel--GPA U/W 3.51 and SAT 590/620
Northeastern--GPA U/W 3.52 and SAT 596/615

Your score of 92 equates to about a 3.7 U/W, and your SAT (old) is 710/670 (1380).
Both your SAT IIs and ECs are about normal for someone with your stats. So.....

NYU--slight reach to reach

Syracuse--match
Boston University--match
Texas-Austin--reach
Texas A&M--safe match
Richmond--match
Miami (Ohio)--match
