<p>It would be a reach for UMich CoE. Your uwGPA is right at the admission average while the ACT is only at or below the 25th percentile. The mid 50 for UMich CoE was 31-34 in the last couple years, however, the admission rate has dropped from 30% in 2013 to 20% in 2014 with a median admission ACT of 33. Try to bring up your ACT at least a couple points for a better chance.</p>
<p>I think maybe you should try retaking the ACT for a slightly higher score (32-33). Your SAT IIs are great, and your unweighted GPA is enough. I think some of your extracurriculars are very interesting (teen advisory, captain of varsity rowing) so it should distinguish you from other applicants. I would’ve liked to see more activities demonstrating interest in Engineering though.</p>
