Chance at UPenn (Wharton) ED

<p>Hello,
I would love if anyone could chance me for Early Decision at UPenn for their Wharton school of business.</p>

<p>Location:Florida
School: Sends a few kids to the ivies each year. It also is an IB school rather than AP though I have taken a few AP courses.
Race/Ethnicity: White Male
SAT I: Math: 760 Reading: 740 Writing: 660
SAT II: Math: 700 Chemistry: 740
GPA: Weighted: 4.84 Unweighted 3.84 (I think)
Ranking: 2% in the county (School ranks students against other students from other schools in the county)</p>

Course load is the hardest possible at my school. I am one of four students in a class of about 300 taking this schedule. I also have the highest unweighted GPA of this group.</p>

<p>Extracurricular Activities:
Tennis: Freshman year for school. I couldn't play sophomore year due to a broken wrist. Kind of killed any tennis I could do competitively.
Varsity Golf: Senior year. Picked it up in place of tennis and it became my passion. Wrote essay on it.

<p>Your math SATII score will be a problem at Wharton where over half the class has an 800.I strongly advise you to retake. The other issue I see is there's nothing in your ECs that shows an interest in business. Hopefully you can use your essay to convey the interest. If you can straighten out those 2 things you have a shot.</p>

<p>I tried to use my page 217 essay to convey an interest in business. I mostly want to get into business with some type of medical company. I hope that clarifies something.</p>

<p>Did you ED? I've watched Wharton applicants for 25 years and I'd have to say that those who show a passion for a specific area of business and have done something in that area, combined with great stats of course, are the most successful.</p>

<p>Whoops, I missed that. Are you retaking the SATII? I'm guessing deferal here so I'd retake and submit.</p>

<p>I am starting to lean that way. I guess retaking it can't really hurt anything.</p>
