Chance at UPenn?

Hey, I recently looked into Upenn's Wharton school for business. I'm really interested in going there and it would def. Be my my first pick out of all schools, but compared to most other applicants, i have really low scores. I just wanted to know if anyone even thinks i have a slight chance in being considered putting all the areas of the application together and what i could do to raise my chances.
GPA=3.9

ACT=28 (first time i took it, hopefully did better this time around)

Rank=Top 2% of class of 600+

Classes= All Honors/AP Courses- (AP Courses I took/ plan on taking: AP Gov, AP Lang, AP Environmental Science, AP Calc, Possibly AP Bio/Psychology -my school doesnt offer many AP courses due to major class cuts, and there are basically no electives left to take, putting me at a disadvantage with that since there are no business electives I can take =( ..)

Extra-Curriculurs= I'm very involved with the organizations/clubs at my school and in my community, over 10 clubs, hold titles of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Head of Events in a Nationally Known organization, I was on a youth board group and I was a Board member of Partnerships on that board, business club board member, Assistant teacher/Youth Group Member at local sunday school, Leader in Study Hall periods, Tutored math to elementary school kids, Plan to Volunteer at Local Hospital in the Business department

Work history= Work as a cashier since Beginning of 2010-present

I'm most likely going to major in accounting with a minor in math, but I dont want to rule out the option of majoring in actuarial science, so those two options are there.
Any tips on admission? I know I have a really small chance if any of being even considered because of my scores, does anybody know of any other reputable business schools good for accounting or actuarial science that I may have a chance at?

besides on ur act… looks fine. upenn isnt safety for anyone but uve good shot i think

What act score would significantly help my chances? And apart from act do my other areas look alright?

Get that ACT to a 32 and you have a better chance. Barely anyone gets into Penn with such a low score and if you apply yourself I’m sure you can get it up, as you seem to be pretty smart.
Besides that you have a pretty decent shot

I got to be honest-- you are likely to be rejected from UPenn Wharton. Your ECs are commendable, but they are not very appealing for admissions committee that receives 35,000 applications per year. Moreover, I’m sure UPenn applicants will have two things in common: 3.75+ GPA with 2,100 SAT. If you do something with your SAT scores and participate more on clubs that shows WHO YOU ARE, then, I suppose you have a chance.

thanks for the input! what kinds of other clubs do you think i should involve myself in that would show who i am? i know a lot of people always say its better to be in a club that you’re really passionate about rather than branch into a whole bunch of random clubs…is that a smart thing to do?

I’m applying ED to Wharton (Huntsman) too! Good luck, and if we both get super duper lucky, hopefully we’ll get in. :)

hopefully! im going to apply ED as well and try bumping up my ACT score as much as possible before then.

Just another question regarding admission chances to UPENN or basically any university. Would it help my chances if I said I was going to major in Actuarial Science rather than Accounting since Actuarial Science is more of a rare major compared to others?

u need an ACT score of 32+ to be a more competitive applicant. HIT THE BOOKS haha
