I don't know if this would count, but I write, produce, record, and mix my own music?
Not going toooooo in depth with ECs, I know UT likes to look at numbers more than anything.

Plus I know I can write pretty darn good essays. I can get really creative with those.

Majors to apply for:
1. Natural Sciences
2. Liberal Arts

If I'm missing anything, please ask. Thank you in advance, please be brutally honest. This will hopefully calm my nerves.

-M

oh, and as a side note to my courses, I’m currently in a program called Health Science Technology. There are three levels to this course structure and each level gets more competitive than the last. I’ve been accepted into level three and come senior year I’ll be working to be a registered Pharmacy Technician.

I’ll give you a wishy washy answer: give it a shot, but have a back up plan.

UT is pretty strict about that 7% rule. Anecdotally, I have known kids get denied at 7.1% and get accepted at 10%. Write good essays. You seem like a pretty witty, clever guy. You may be able to sell yourself.

Are you auto admit for A&M? What is your test score break down? That could be your back up plan. Or be prepared to spend a year at a UT branch campus and make good grades.

thanks for the reply  I know I’ll be able to write a good, unique essay.

As for A&M, I’m not sure for automatic admission, but I’m 98% sure I would get in if I apply.

You should be fine considering you are in state.

My nephew had similar stats and did NOT get in as an in-state student, so don’t be disappointed if you’re not accepted. Could you go the CAP route?
