Hello I need some clearance on my chances of transferring to the McCombs school of business at UT Austin. I applied for UT as a freshman, but was Capped. Right now I am attending the University of North Texas as a freshman with already 22 hours completed from high school and taking 13 hours this first semester. My degree Audit shows I have a 4.0 GPA from my duel credit transfer hours and one of those hours being Macroeconomics (prerequisite). Some of the classes I am taking are Microeconomics where I have a 101 (bonus points from a curve) and Calculus 1 where I have a 97 going into the finals this week. The rest of my classes are all high A’s as well. I plan on taking Cal 2 in the spring and am going to have Leg lengthening surgery in the spring to even out a leg discrepancy I have grown up with.
My plan is to apply for transfer to the McCombs Business School and major in Finance, but my friends tell me its highly competitive and I should just apply as a Economics major at the liberal arts school. If anyone could help me and explain the chances of me getting accept are that would be fantastic. Thanks.
