Vandy-match
Duke-high reach
Gtown (early action)-high match
Johns Hopkins-reach
Cornell (considering)-reach
University of Florida (applied)-in if you’re in state, low match if out of state and you want the pain of paying for that

EC’s seem quite generic, but those 2 leadership roles may help. Everything else is fine

CHANCE ME BACK PLEASE :3

In at Florida. The rest are reaches.

I think you are in at Florida and have very good chances at Vanderbilt and Georgetown for early action. Duke, JHU, and Cornell are probably reaches since they are very competitive, with Duke being the highest reach.

Please chance back!

To answer your question about raising the SAT score:

The difference between a 2200 somethings and 2300 somethings is only 3 to 4 problems, and colleges definately know that. They will not look at a 2300 and a 2250, and go “oh! well we’ll go with the 2300 one!” because they know that the two people only differed by 1 or 2 questions. On the other hand, if you feel like you need to improve–by all means do so. But the SAT score isn’t a tie-breaker, as some might think.

For JHOP, they do not have a biochem joint major (but they do have separate bio and chemistry)–so you may need to make a decision there.

Good luck!

Thanks for chancing guys… I’m in the middle of a few things now, but will make sure i chance those who chanced me… Thanks and sorry…

Vandy-match
Duke-reach
Gtown- reach
Johns Hopkins-reach
Cornell (considering)-low reach
University of Florida (applied)- match

I’d say Duke, Cornell, and John Hopkins are low reach, GTown/Vandy high match, and UF match/low match.

If you get your test scores up (especially subject tests) things will look better. If you have awards and stuff from ECs (especially piano) that’ll help to, but as it reads on paper here, they’re nothing spectacular. Still, if you apply to all those schools as you stand now, I think you’ll get into 1-3. Write strong essays, get great letters of rec.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1049165-these-hooks-could-get-me.html

I think Vandy is just as competitive as Duke or any of those others this year. No one from EDI is getting in unless they have some kind of monumental achievement. (ex. 34 ACT and national merit)

Bumping…

I got into UF and University of Miami ($24,000 a year scholarship)

After first semester
Unweighted GPA: 3.84
Weighted GPA: 5.42

SAT II Math is also 760 not 740
