Do I have a shot?

I would tie together how your political experiences and creation of a microfinance company tie together to make you a great fit for a business school like Wharton. Also, you need to have a near perfect score in your Math SAT and Math II subject test, awesome recommendations, and a lot of luck. It would help if you applied ED.

Well in the internship im researching for the congressman’s financial department. Im taking the math subject test in june so i will try to get the best score possible. Thanks for the response

Hi. I was accepted at Wharton this past admissions cycle. I had a 36 ACT, 4.0 UW, 800s in Math II/Chem, 780 in USH. (didn’t take the SAT). ranked 1st out of 160. However, I didn’t really have any business experience as you did in…I just had a big interest in it. So here’s what I suggest (similar to the last poster)

If it’s your absolute absolute first choice school, apply ED (be careful though about fin aid, but i suppose if you’re a die hard potential whartonite, that won’t matter as much. they’re relatively generous with fin aid. I received 30k in grants on a 110k income)

Play up your business experience/interests in your essay. They say that you don’t need to have it; that they’re looking for an interest in it (like myself). that fact that you have actual experience is def a plus.

they are also looking for people who will be future leaders. play up/integrate your leadership roles & tie it into your biz experience as possible

Try to raise your test scores as much as possible. A 31 is good, but it won’t really turn any heads at Wharton. ED will help, but a higher ACT/SAT score is even better.

Check your PM btw as well
