Chance at Williams?

Hey! I'm a prospective 2015er who really wants to go to Williams! I've been working hard to build up my resume for a long time, hoping that I can be spotted by Williams. After reading so mancy "chance" threads, I just got so very curious...

Here's my particulars:

4 years of O and A levels in Singapore
GPA(estimated): 3.8
SAT Reasoning: CR 760 M 800 W 720
SAT Subject Test: Chemistry 800 Physics 800 Math II 800

Academics:
Studying A level English, Economics, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry
Research experience in the national university
National medalist in Math and Chemistry
Won a distinction in the American Math Competition
National and intra-school awards in public speaking (Champion in School, bronze award in nationals)

Extra-curriculars:
2 years in Drama Club
2 years playing for the orchestra
2 and a half years in the Student Council
(Organised donation drives for the Earthquake in Haiti and the Hurricanes in South East Asia,
organised and participated in giving free music lessons to kids in a family centre,
organised fun activities for the welfare of students...
along with some other school events, which i will not list down here)

Do I have a chance of being noticed among so many other brilliant applicants?
And I know that Williams rescinded need-blind admission for international students. But I need that FA. Will applying for aid largely affect my chances?

Thank you so much!

I am not quite sure about how applying for FA will affect your chances, but I’m sure admissions will consider your academic qualifications before your financial needs…

I know a lot of students at Williams from Singapore though, many from the same high school. I wonder if it’s the same one?

“Do I have a chance of being noticed among so many other brilliant applicants?”

Trust me…your resume is a lot better than mine, and I somehow got in. Just remember to work on your essay and get good recommendations.

Anyway, you appear to have a good shot at getting in. Good luck!

Thanks La La La! I’ll definitely give my best shot in the essays.
I think I know the Singaporean school you were talking about. But no I’m not from that school. My school is new and I’m in the first graduating class. So it’s all down to us to make her name.
