chance at WVU

good afternoon I'm currently a senior in high school and am looking to apply to wvu. my gpa as of last week is a 2.6 uw and a 2.9 w, I know its really low. The weird part is that during last week of my junior year I requested an official transcript from my school and according to that one the gpa was a 3.1 uw and a 3.3w. Whats even more astonishing is that I haven't been issued any new grades that could have possibly changed that old gpa, so naturally I became extremely irate and asked my new guidance counselor what the heck happened to my gpa. He then went into lecture mode arguing that my old school calculated the GPA wrong. (Sorry for the long story) So know im stuck with this gpa, which has definitely diminished any chances I've had of getting scholarships. Long story short I have a 1440 total SAT. I am going to take it again. By the end of the year I'll have about 32 credits consisting of mostly AP,Honors, and dual enrollment classes. I've participated in multiple sports including jv football, jv wrestling, jv track and field and lastly varsity baseball. I've also been a member of multiple clubs including nhs, msa, sga, eco club and a couple others. I also have about 150 volunteer hours and am looking at about another 50 more by the end of this semester. So if you guys could please chance me and if you could also tell me any other 4 year universities that I have a chance at that would be great. thank you very much.

P.S If any additional information is needed please mention it, I would be more then delighted to post it.

Truthfully, WVU is not very selective. My dd had slightly better stats than you and was admitted OOS. She didn’t choose to go there, but I think you have a reasonably good chance.

thank you azcatz do you think I should submit my application with with what i have right now or wait till later

Just make sure you have fulfilled all your graduation requirements (years of math, foreign lang, whatever). I’ve only known one person who was rejected, and it was because she did not have the basic math hours.
