Hey guys! So I just saw some stats on Princeton admissions, and the accepted applicants from last year had an average GPA of 3.89, and 85% of them had a GPA of 3.75 or higher. http://registrar.princeton.edu/university_enrollment_sta/common_cds2010.pdf

I applied SCEA to Princeton and am the only one from my high school applying early there. I have a 2320 SAT 760 M, 760 CR, 800 W. I took the hardest classes in my school. However, my GPA is low because of my 7th, 8th, and 9th grade courses. I took Algebra I Honors and Geometry Honors in 7th and 8th grade respectively. Fortunately, Princeton doesn't put that much weight to Freshman and Middle School years.

I never earned straight As during high school. It's impossible for me. I just feel as if a 4.0 (straight As) is not achievable with one of the hardest schedules and extracurricular commitments. Plus, a lot of schools have a tendency to inflate grades. So does Princeton or other prestigious universities not put too much weight on GPA?

Also, are the GPA stats from the website recalculated GPAs? How does Princeton recalculate one's GPA? I read from old posts that they do A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, etc. Furthermore, my school does not have class rank. Also, my school uses weighted GPAs, not unweighted. I tried to calculate my unweighted GPA by looking at my transcript and saw that it was pretty low. Probably lower than a 3.75. I am Korean and live in Northern Virginia. Do you guys think it's not that big of a deal of having a 3.625 (Including Freshman year) or 3.72 (excluding Freshman year) unweighted GPA?

Thanks
