I don't have any hooks ...
but do u think self-studied APs might help with application?
What can I improve??? please tell me what can I DO!!

Thanks!

You must be like the 123989285928th Korean I saw on CC

Since you are international + Korean = rejected everywhere. Sorry AA hates us Koreans.

Lol jk.. but do you need financial aid? Because that is important if you are non-US citizen or permanent resident.

In everywhere except the top 4 on your list + columbia and brown and upenn if you are applying to wharton.

You will probs get into one of the ones that I say you won't...so you're sweet.

The only thing I don't see is passion in one area?

what if I'm a Canadian? because i'm getting a Canadian citizenship very soon... probably sometime in 2008... will i have any chances?
I'm not gonna ask for FA if school doesn't have need-blind policy...

Why not IVIES.... ㅜㅜ i feel so sad now....
and oh my most passionate area is in music.. playing clarinet..
i wake up so early twice a week just to go to the band practice... and i walk and take a bus and walk and walk even it rains or snows... i'll probably write it as an essay...

What Can I do ???
Do i need more leadership positions?
If I become like president or co-chair, would it be better?
(actually, I'm wondering how much becoming president of clubs affect your admission... It's like so common these days that everyone is president.... Does it still worth to become a president?? ))
ANSWERS PLEASE...

Help poor KORECANADIAN.

There's nothing that helps you stand out especially as an international (Canadian).

I'd also recommend you taking a non-math/science SAT II to show that you're a more well rounded student. But I honestly don't know how well this'll work. It's just so stereotypical to see an Asian good at maths/sciences and music.

Leadership positions really do help, but don't overdo it. Just get them in clubs/activities that show a passion, because they might be demanding.

The self-studied APs are good, but they don't show any concentrated academic interest really. Don't lots of Canadian schools have IB programs?

I wrote my short EC essay on band too. I really loved how it turned out.

I know it seems really harsh, but its not all lost. Your numbers are amazing. Your ECs and awards are also extensive, just not really focused. I doubt that you'll be rejected from every school on your list, so don't worry too much.

할수있어!!

Thank you Sungchul ... for a great advice
i wonder if I can take another SAT II subject... maybe Spanish?
because in canada, we don't learn world history or US history at all.... ONLY Canadian History... so i'm not confident in those subjects...
Also, our school has little AP subjects like calculus and english, but not much... no IB at all...
I'm so worried... I hate being an Asian...
