<p>I'm currently a 3rd year Civil Engineering student graduating from Michigan, Dec 08. I'd like to know what my chances are for getting into a tier 1/2 math phd program. </p>
<p>GRE Math (anticipated) ~990
GRE General (anticipated: M/V/A) ~800/650/5.5
GPA (major/overall/ math) 3.1/3.2/3.6
Bit of research experience in Civil Engineering
Work experience in Programming/ Logistics
Math minor +5 phd level math courses beyond minor reqs (did really well in those)
Can get good letters of rec
Bilingual (english, french)</p>
<p>Any help would be appreciated. I'm just not sure what program I can get into since I'm not even sure if it's better to apply to an MS program or directly to a phd program.</p>
