chances?

Is Tufts your first choice? If so, you should strongly consider applying ED.

Concentrate on essays - they’re incredibly important. It’s all about how you showcase what you got!

kids with better stats have been rejected and kids with worse have been accepted… id agree, essays and supplement are the key.

You are in the mix, it could go either way.
The rigor of your curriculum and class standing are very strong (especially if your school is known as being strong academically).
Your ACT is fine, no more and no less. Your SAT CR scores is okay, but a little soft. Have you considered a second shot at it? With respect to the SATIIs, the good news is that Tufts will use your two highest scores; the rest are not particularly relevant. My only concern is that one of your two strong scores is in Korean, which might not knock them over. Have you considered retaking the Math, or taking the Math Level II (especially if one of your APs is calc)?

Tufts is currently not my first choice even though I like the school a lot; I have a different one in mind.

Yeah, I know Tufts emphasizes the essays a lot.

I am going to retake ACT’s in September.
In October, I think I am going to take Subject tests - Math 2, Biology-E, and French

Yeah - in one section of the supplement i remember they specified to be unconventional (or i forgot the exact word they used, but basically something out of the ordinary) in “the following questions” and i remember one of mine was REALLY different and i still feel like that little essay got me in. Heh, who knows - go with your gut.
