And one question.
If I want a higher chance of getting in, should I apply to the Georgetown College or School of Business?

Thanks

Can’t specifically speak to your stats about getting in/chance wise, but I do know that as a girl it’s easier to get into MSB than the College. But that shouldn’t affect your decision… what are you planning on majoring in?

See that’s the point. I don’t really know. I really like economics, and I think I would enjoy doing business/management but I can’t really tell for now…But I will take your advice and apply to MSB Thanks!

You can always minor in economics (which is really easy to do in the MSB, since you have Micro/Maco pre-reqs anyways)… plus you get to take all of your business classes in the new building! Definitely the place to be (my biased 2 cents) ;)

Thanks for your input sophomore12 !Will anyone like to chance me ?

It’s tough to say, but your scores are definitely in range of accepted students traditionally, but sometimes it really comes down to how other aspects of your application pan out…

The way it works is that (from a friend who works in admissions), the top of the application pool (15-20%) gets in automatically based on a scoring system (I’m sure we all have a pretty good idea what “top” means) and the bottom (15-20%) gets deferred if EA and rejected if RD. So the middle 50-60% gets read by admissions committee, so you really need to standout to them - but who knows what they are looking for per se, some times an outstanding essay will do it for you, sometimes your EC activities will…

Very interesting information, sophomore12, thanks. Any other details you can provide? What are the criteria they use for the ‘scoring’? Is there a cut off for test scores to get into that range?
