thanks everyone

ill chance people back :)

Good ECs

Not sure about the GPA, our school uses the 4 pt system, need a rank to determine how good GPA is in context of your school

Your SAT I is a bit weak, get it to around 2200
I would retake the math II SAT if you have time

I would say you definitely have a chance, but it would be nice if you get those SAT scores up…

my school doesnt rank students but i would say im in the top 10% in my class of 250 students. the school itself is ranked in the top 50 high schools in ny. my unweighted gpa on a 4 pt system is about a 3.7 which isnt too high but which i hope will be compensated by my rigorous curriculum (by the end of senior year, i will have taken 13 ap exams and multivariable calculus aka calc 3).

since CAS only requires 2 sat2s, i dont think ill send in my math 2 scores, but im definitely trying to bring up my sat 1 score.

i have also been playing the cello for 7 years and have volunteered at a local nursing home for the last 4 years.

thanks for the comment btw, i really appreciate it :)

also would people recommend CAS or CALS if i want to major in bio? i also live in ny so theres a $16000 annual diff in tuition

I’m applying ED to CAS as well and overall, our apps appear to be fairly similar. From what I’ve read, if you boost up your SAT scores, get good teacher recs, and write good essays, you should stand a decent chance. When I toured Cornell last spring they emphasized that they don’t take SAT scores into consideration nearly as much as other aspects of the application. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1397712-chances-cornell-georgetown-some-others.html
