I find out December 15th and really want to know what to expect, so I'd appreciate anyone chancing me! Thanks!

I am not a fan of chance me threads as they are largely “academic”, pardon the pun.

But from my opinion, you stand a good chance, but not a great chance. Your 1190 core SAT score would have been golden 5 or more years ago. Not so anymore. Your gpa of almost 3.5 is okay…and in the middle range (I think) of Fordham admits, but not in the upper tier (3.7 or higher).

So what does this mean? Depends on the quality and number of people in the EA pool of applicants, which varies from year to year. I wish I could say you are a slam dunk, but that would be dishonest. You also aren’t clearly an applicant which goes into the circular file. What will they do? They might admit you or they might defer you to the RD pool. Depends on your rigor in high school and if they know your school well etc. If they defer you, don’t fret…its not over and you might very well get in late March.

Fordham’s stats have been on the rise in number of applications and quality of applications for several years. Will the economy affect that this year? I don’t know.

Best of luck to you.

p.s. I see you have taken 6 AP courses and scored 4 or better on them. I personally believe that AP scores are better measures of success in college than an SAT score. But that is my opinion. I do think Fordham likes to see AP courses on transcripts and they do pay attention to your AP exam scores. Plus you have excellent EC’s. This tells me several things: you are likely in a tough and highly competitive school without huge grade inflation, you have taken rigorous courses and succeeded (very well indeed!), and you are a balanced kid with lots of outside interests and activities. If its up to me, you are in because I would argue that you will perform once you arrive at Fordham. But I’m just an outsider and my opinion doesnt count.

Advice: chill out and take it one day at a time. Focus on your courses in high school now, enjoy your senior year. This too shall pass.

Congrats to you on your accomplishments.
