I have many more ECs, but commonapp only allows me to list 10 important ones. So how are my chances? I wish to major in Biophysics or biology and follow the pre-med track

Don’t you need recommendations from Academic Teachers (Math, English)?

U.S. History and Physics are regular academic teachers.

Bump

Your academic stats are competitive. Your EC’s are a bit weaker;
You need to show any achievement/results/awards from them (FBLA, Science honors society?, Guitar?). Or maybe include them in your essays. The Research is good, karate brown belt is ok, volunteering is nice but doesn’t help considering most other people do some sort of it.
Being paid as a referee is perhaps a point u want to emphasize, as it’s technically a job and requires skill
Also, if your “why penn” is very nice then that should help.
Considering this is ED, i’d say you’d have a fair chance for CAS. However, Wharton ED is definitely a reach.

Funny, I think your ec’s are strong (esp research and contributing to a published paper) they all show your passion for pre med bio track well… but I think your academics are a tad weak.

Not your test scores, they are stellar, but a 94 gpa seems like a 3.6 or 3.7 which seems a tad below average at Penn. You still have a great shot mind you but that is the one area I felt was slightly weak -also why not AP Lit instead of honors lit- they are looking for you to show you are challenging yourself and taking the toughest course load - you showed last year in taking Ap language and getting a 4 and a 730r that you could have easily handled AP Lit … just wondering why you didn’t take AP?
Regardless -obviously you have a great chance and are very intelligent! Have confidence in yourself!
