<p>What are my chances of getting my major of mech. Engineering at the cockerell school of engineering?? Please Help!

<p>I did an internship with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers the summer going into my Senior year as well.</p>
<p>i think you have an ok chance of getting in. practicing and retaking the sat will definitely help you out. i also heard that you can retake ap tests (im actually planning on talking to my counselor about that). if you can, that will also be great.</p>
<p>but ur ecs and gpa are pretty great! also, in the case u get waitlisted, ive heard that writing/emailing to the rep of the area (from the college) will really improve ur chances of getting bumped up in the waitlist. make sure you talk about why that college will be a great fit for u and how u’ve improved for it etc</p>
<p>Great GPA and rank. SAT is a bit low but the math is higher so thts good for engineering. Internship looks great and plus you are URM. ECs are a bit spread out and not “too” math/science focused but thts alright. I think if you have a good chance. Maybe take the ACT? (i got a 35 on the math, it’s pretty easy) or maybe SAT Subject test math level 1 or 2??? Good luck
