guys i really need your help, pretty confused right now on what schools to apply to and what schools are worth applying too

Okay, you need to know I do "chances" based only upon actual SATs, not "expected" SATs. I will take your estimates on the SAT IIs, though.

So, here are your chances based upon the SATs you have now:

UT Austin--Match
UC Berkeley--Slight Reach (out-of-state)--very tough to figure if you'll get in here, but I estimate about 45% yes, 55% no. If you were in-state, you'd be accepted immediately.
Penn--Match to Slight Reach (chemical engineering is a tough major to get here, but I think you are closer to match here and will be accepted)
Princeton--Reach
Stanford--Reach
Cornell--Match

I'd also consider applying to Duke and UC Santa Barbara (which has a fantastic chemistry department).
DUKE--Match to Slight Reach
UC Santa Barbara--Match

And since you are applying to the UCs anyway, consider checking the boxes for UCLA and UCSD if you are interested in either of those schools. (but realize that coming from Texas, all of the UCs will be cost prohibitive).

Good luck.

thanks calcruzer, yea idk if id go to UC actually.. im actually automatically into UT because of the top 10% rule, but thanks for the input it helps

god doesnt anyone else freakin chance....

Bump dammit bump
