I see you also posted in the W&M thread. I think you have a good chance of getting in there. You are "qualified" for Georgetown, but so are thousands of other applicants. You need either some great SAT II's or a boost on the SAT I. You are incredibly well-rounded, but nothing REALLY stands out to me...have you won any prestigious national awards? I'm not saying that you have no chance - you DEFINITELY do - but don't bank on it.

haha i know thats the thing with me...im GOOD at a lot of things...but no GREAT at anything. Georgetown is definitely my highest reach school, and william and mary is on up there, too. However, I can HONESTLY say that out of any single person in my school, I believe I have done the most to make and difference and better my school. I come from a suburban to rural school at the foot of the georgia mountains. So my SAT score may seem low to many people at schools that prep kids for admissions since freshman year, but at our school I hold one of the highest scores (probably top 10% if not higher). I'm really studying hard for the SAT IIs so maybe I will fare better on those....oh well.

Oh I'm also interested in playing softball there....so maybe that will help? I dont know they probably already did all their recruiting...I'm going to contact the coach this week.

I am an athletic recruit myself! Being an athlete obviously gives you a boost in admissions. If you can get the coach to support your application then you are definitely in. If not, you still have a solid shot. Get in contact with him ASAP though - your chances of being recruited are better the earlier you begin the process. It is actually likely that the coach has finished his or her recruiting already, but give it a try! Good luck! You seem like someone who deserves to go to an exceptional college and I'm sure you will. Hoya Saxa!

Oh sweet, what sport are you being recruited for?

swimming. have you already applied?

Hey!
I just joined this site and came across your post. I'm also from Georgia - I went to CHHS. I'm a Junior at Georgetown, and I play softball there. It's amazing, and I love it. If you have any questions feel free to email me - my email is smp57@georgetown.edu
