Been accepted at UNF, UCF (both with money), expect to get in to FSU, denied from UNC chapel hill (scary bc it makes me worry about UF)

I like your chances. Your GPA is at the lower end of the UF “lane” but your SAT is right near the middle. Hopefully you conveyed your leadership experience and ECs in your application and essay. UF holistic admissions being what it is, one never knows for sure. It’s good that you have options. Don’t be surprised if you get selected for summer.

What major did you list?

Either way, please let us know what happens on decision day…

@rudygator You’ve got a good chance – hang in there. Don’t worry too much about being denied from UNC – I heard that OOS applicants to UNC EA had only a 4% acceptance rate, which is less than the Ivy League schools.

I applied for summer B lol. And I declared speech pathology. Might switch to pt. But speech for now.

Oh thanks. That makes me feel slightly better.

Doesn’t matter about your major (as far as getting in) but that’s a good field. If you wrote a strong essay I like your chances.

My D got in to UF this past fall with a 1290 SAT, 4.75GPA and a ton of extras like you (sports + volunteering and leadership). I think you will get in, not sure about merit though.

My son has very similar profile and is also waiting on a decision from UF and others. (Finance Major) Also denied by UNC

Just curious -
which scholarship did you receive from UCF? He has not received a scholarship notice even though he appears to be in the range. Thanks! Good luck with UF!

Hi! No problem. UCF gave me $10,000. Low presidential. That’ll take some sting out if UF says no.

Yes I hoping that being involved and having lots of leadership will make up for my GPA being a little low. And I’m hoping legacy status will help when I match other applicants. It’s going to a long and nervous wait.

Lol. I don’t expect any $ from UF. Just want a chance.

How were you notified of scholarship from UCF.? I also was accepted at UCF with very similar stats. Thanks

Log on to your portal there and check under scholarships. Also a letter and email came to me. They give you the option to defer – awesome if you are waiting on other colleges.

@HappyNJOOS is that her UF GPA or school GPA?

My UF GPA is 4.2. My school GPA is a 4.6.
