Chance for an Average Indian guy

Hey guys,
This is my first ever post on CC..hope it works to my advantage;-)
So heres the deal:
Class Rank 42/820
GPA: 6.570 out of a 7 point scale
Can't give you the 4.0 scale because our school does it differently.
I go to a Texas public school and I'm Indian as you can obviously tell from the title.

Here is my basic course load-
9th grade- basic core classes-mostly honors- can't do AP classes in 9th
10th grade- only AP class was World History and all others Honors
11th Grade- US History AP, Spanish IV AP, English III AP
12th grade- loaded with AP: Calculus BC AP, Economics/Govt. AP, English IV AP, Chemistry AP, Biology Ap, and Tennis

If you are familiar with the Texas recommended program, you will know that it is pretty hard to start taking really hard classes early because you need the core classes to be finished.
Anyways, I messed up freshman year because I moved to America in 8th grade and I was unaware of the GPA, class rank system, and the importance of those two things for college admission. When I finally got everything together, my grades went up a lot and so did my rank, but apparently the damage was done.

Oh and my AP SCORES:
World Hist-5, US History-5, English Lang. 5, Spanish Lang-5

My SAT: 2260- 760 Math, 760 CR, 740 CR
SAT II- planning to take Math and Lit in October.

EC's:
Science Olympiad- 4yrs- won quite a few awards for competitions- our team went to Nationals every year I was there so far
Model United Nations - 3 yrs
Current Events Club- 3 yrs- Historian
Co-founded Save Darfur Club- VP
NHS
Science National Honor Society- Public Relations
Tennis- 4 yrs; 2 yr Varsity letter

My recs.are going to be good because I have always ought to communicate with my teachers and I have always been on good terms with most of them.
My essays are hopefully good- let's see what adcoms think.

I have over 150+ hrs. of volunteering in hospital, library, and assistance ministries.

I realize that I am not "IVY material", but I have been rising GPA-wise and class rank-wise and hopefully my prospective universities will see my upward trend.

Oh and I have been very active in my temple- plays, dances, religious festivals, etc.- if that helps any
I plan to major in Biomedical Engineering

So could you please give me my chances for these schools:
Rice- maybe a dream
Texas
Texas A&M
Baylor
WUSTL
Boston University
Vanderbilt
Stanford?-maybe a dream
Northwestern University
Georgia Tech
UPenn

Thanks in advance!

bump.

Id say u got a decent / very good chance at all of em. Just make sure the SAT II's are 800's and you'll be set

decent in Sanford?!?!?

stanford is a reach

bump
any other chances?

i would love more info? thanks...

help me out

id say u have a okay chance for stanford. its still gonna be a reach for you though

how bout the others?

Should be in at Texas (in state), A&M, Baylor, BU, GA Tech.
Good chance at Rice, Vandy, and NU. Good chance at WUSTL if you apply ED.
Stanford and Penn are reaches.

hmm
anyone else?

help???
bump...

bump.....
please

anyone else?

You're going to have to recalculate your GPA to the 4-point scale; it doesn't really matter that your school does it differently (so many schools do it differently, and when people post chances here, they standardize the GPA). A=4, B=3, etc. for UW; A=5, B=4, etc. for W. Use only core courses (English, math, history, science, language), and for W, use only honors/AP/IB. People would respond more if you did this.

i would say its about a 3.7 uw

you have a very good chance at penn, dont know about stanford. all the others you will have an excellent chance at. your sat is really good.

bump..........

any other chances?
i dont know whether I should apply WUSTL ed..
