Chance for an Indian at MIT

It’s sad how many fake rich lying bragging brats make it to great colleges and middle class humble nice talented kids don’t. Disappointing.

As I see it, the only way he’s going to make MIT is if he wins the International BSing Olympiad. Arindam Chaudhuri could coach the Indian contingent to a massive international victory.

@blue - True, even if he gets into MIT or any other top university(which I highly doubt as adcoms can make out this kind of BS) - he won’t last for more than a semester or a year at most.

Ok, not that I want to go around ■■■■■■■■ but the OP didn’t get into UIUC, so him getting into MIT or the likes would be nothing short of a miracle!! Haha!! :)

^ Miracles do happen.
Like when Arsenal beats MUFC :p

Rishav…don’t be so sure…UIUC looks at figures…not much of who you are…and stuff.
You never know guys…

take out the rich part… i know a quite few middle class ppl who are in great universities after they lied (not reporting them or anything coz its none of my business). also im rich (yes i admit it) but i never lied on my application even though its less than stellar.

@blue - United fan here, but this guy still can’t be compared to Arsenal :p

@quiver - UIUC looks at figures.It sees whether the applicant is prepared “scores/grades” wise for the applied major. If UIUC deems him not good enough to handle their course rigor, I doubt MIT would!!

That said, I myself am banking on a miracle to happen!! :smiley: :p

@JR - well Teslaboy knows fake rich lying bragging brats who made it to great colleges - I don’t know how you can change what he knows!! :stuck_out_tongue:
Anyway just because your rich doesn’t mean you don’t deserve anything. Though I believe there is a high correlation between being rich & getting what you don’t deserve!!

moderator’s note - Please bear in mind that personal attacks of other registered members is against TOS.

JRswish - I somehow do agree with Tesla.
I myself know a few people who’re applying and who’ve got this ‘500 hours of social service’, ‘a small startup’ just like that without ever doing anything simply because they were rich and well connected. No offense to you. Im not saying middle class kids dont lie, just saying what ive experienced. Maybe youve had a different experience.

Rishav - Oh well that situation could apply to us as well :p

mnemoniceducation.com

@texaspg - No personal attacks here!! :D

I have nothing against the OP and maybe this thread should be closed down.

But just trying to make a point for future applicants that bloating your application and having a “I, Me & Myself” attitude won’t get you into a top college!! :D

@codeguy - Yes?

@Blue - i actually need a bigger miracle than he does!! :stuck_out_tongue:
Why?? … FINANCIAL AID!! :/

@teslaboy - I noticed that too! Personally, having a red line(for a spelling error) while typing out a post - freaks me out :p

****! I Miscommented! :(

Btw this luthra kid is so self-obsessed! Oh god!

Rishav----“I, Me & Myself” Isn’t that a new movie??:D
