Chance for BC, Villanova, BU, Northeastern, Bentley

I am currently a junior at a private Jesuit high school
Stats:
Overall GPA(freshman-now)- 95.5-96
SAT- 560 CR, 690 M, 650 W(8 on essay), retaking in May
ACT-took in April, got between 29-31 on practice tests
SAT II- taking in June
Great ECs with leadership roles including certified advanced scuba diver

For all these schools, I am interested in studying business, haven't decided which major yet.
I feel with my stats-
BC= reach
Northeastern= high match/low reach
Villanova= high match/low reach
BU= match
Bentley= match
*note- my uncle went to BC and an active alumnus
My school uses Naviance and I noticed that for all these schools, formers students with lower stats than me were accepted to these colleges. I feel that I can get into all these colleges but I want your take. Thanks

Bump…

Bump…

Please, I would really appreciate someone helping me out. Thanks

Northeastern - (high-ish) match; I’m going on my older sister’s stats (similar to yours, got into Notheastern, but went to Syracuse instead)

BC - high match

BU - match

Bentley - sorry, I don’t know anything about this school, so I can’t say ):

Villanova - high match

It seems you are successfully looking for great match school, rather than obsessing over reaches like some people do. That’s great! Although sometimes the admissions game can throw people for a loop, I feel pretty confident in saying that you will very likely get into at least one of these schools, as long as your essays and recs are good. Those are all goof schools, and I’m sure with the stats you’ve presented, you’ll succeed wherever you go, whether it’s one of these schools or any other. Good luck!

Got my ACT scores back!
E- 30
M- 30
R-31
S- 30
Composite- 30
I’m still waiting for my English/writing score, but I’m pretty happy with my scores. Does this give me a better chance at these schools?

BC= reach
Northeastern= match
Villanova= low reach
BU= match (your SAT IIs or ACT writing scores could be important here though…)
Bentley= high match

alot of kids in my school last year got into BC with around 1900’s but their ranks were in the top 5-10%.

ur gpa seems pretty solid, if its UW then ur chances should be a bit better

i would say BC is a reach/low reach
northeastern-match
bu-match

idk about the rest

BC= high reach
Northeastern= match
Villanova= reach
BU= match
Bentley= no idea

Bump…

Just got my may sat scores:
620 CR
650 M
590 W - 7 on essay
So superscored- 1960
620 CR
690 M
650 W- 8 on essay
How are my chances now?

With your new scores BC may still be a reach. BC has recently become extremely popular, and because of this has been able to accept higher and higher qualified students. It is, however, big on legacies so that offers some hope.

An ACT of 30 is vastly superior to an SAT of 1960. Do not submit your SAT, just submit your ACT. Every school you listed only requires you to submit one OR the other.

And given your ACT is 30:

BC= possible
Northeastern= very likely
Villanova= slightly unlikely but possible
BU= likely
Bentley= very likely

Update:
June SAT IIs
Math II- 730
Lit- 600
In the past I took
Bio E- 630
Chem- 570
Math I- 650
I will probably retake an SAT II in October
June ACT with writing
E-31
M-32
R-31
S-30
E/W- ?
C- 31
How are my chances now?

Definitely submit the ACT and not the SATIs. I think you’re likely in at Bentley, BU and Northeastern. Probably in at Villanova and a strong candidate at BC depending on which school you’re applying to (The business school is very competitive).

The thing is though when I registered for my first SAT I, I used the free score reports and sent them to BC, Nova, Bentley, and u of Scranton. So I can’t redo that.

Bump…

Bump…

A lot of the schools you applied to are quite different in terms of technology, campus, fame, etc etc. But based on your info, I can tell you that you’ll def get into NEU. Bentley, you’re likely to get in depending on how lucky you are (since bentley is getting more popular each year).

May I ask what you’re planning to major or study in uni?

I want to major in business, but I am not sure which specific major yet.
