Chance for Berkeley EECS?

I am currently a junior:

Class Rank: 50/538
UW GPA: 3.17
W GPA: 3.93

SAT I: 2120 (CR-660, M-760, W-700) planning on retaking
PSAT: 219 (CR-73, M-80,W-66)
SAT II: Biology-740
Korean- 780
Planning on taking US History, Math Level 2, Chemistry

ECs: NHS, CSF, Korean Culture Club, Chinese Culture Club, Volunteer at Hospital- 100+ hours, Church Praise Team Assistant Leader, Certificate of Merit for keyboard level 9

Please chance me for: UC Berkeley (EECS), UCLA, Cal Tech, Stanford, UCSD, USC

Berkeley/UCLA: huge reach
Caltech: reach
Stanford: big reach
UCSD: reach
USC: reach

It'd be difficult enough to get into Berkeley with your stats; applying EECS will make it basically impossible.

Your GPA and rank hurt you the most; your SAT score is below average for a few of those schools; and your ECs are okay, but you show no passion or focus. All the semi-focus on Asian clubs will probably make it more difficult.

Nice !! I have kinda-sorta the same stats.
I'm applying for Berkeley EECS as well

BTW Do they really look at your PSAT scores? :S

They don't look at your PSAT scores. And even if they did, it wouldn't matter to them.

mmmm.... why do you have two posts with two entirely different stats. i'm assuming you guys are friends on the same sn?

anyways. i don't think the uc's are THAT big of a reach. Yeah, you're gpa is pretty low, but i think that the 2120 sort of makes up for it, so i still think you have a shot at UCSD and UCLA, but maybe not so much for EECS at berkeley.

Just coincidence :)
Do mine :P

"but i think that the 2120 sort of makes up for it, so i still think you have a shot at UCSD and UCLA, but maybe not so much for EECS at berkeley."

No. I've seen people with 2200+ and great extracurriculars, but a 3.5 GPA and got rejected from the top UCs. They really stress GPA, and not SAT so much (as indicated by their averages).
