I don't like chance threads. They're fallacious at best, designed to give you an artificial sense of security. They are also an appeal to false authority. I usually tell people to just apply and find out but since you've already done that, lol...

Are you a CA resident? Are you at a CCC now? In your opinion, how strong was your personal statement? Will you be IGETC certified by the end of Spring 08? How many hours do you work per week? What EC's were/are you involved in? Any awards and/or honors?

i definitely support Edward's suggestion.

I mean...there have been people on this board saying that u have nill chances to ivy schools like Cornell with a 3.8 GPA.... at the same time you have ur own friends getting in with a 3.3 ...... At that point ... this forum for me eventually lost credibility...

However...its a nice place to get other info. and meet one's competitiors.

you should get in.. fair chance

Not to get you worried but I believe that the Berkeley Mass Communications major is a capped major (aka impacted) so it might be tough but I really don't know to much about the admissions to the Interdisciplinary Studies majors but it has an acceptance rate of 38%.

38percent is still better than 25percent social science.!

my sister had a 3.85 from community college and she got in to CAL
