Thanks, and I would really appreciate it if you could give me some feedback!

yeah, I wouldn’t even worry about getting dude. Your stats are amazing. I hope you really do consider cal poly slo, one of the best engineering schools in the country.

Thanks! I’ve heard many wonderful things about cal poly slo, especially about its great engineering dept.

I think you are golden for Cal Poly. You did a great job at high school!

Are you considering other even better engineering schools?

Thanks! I pushed hard and was rewarded!

Yes, I am…including the UC system, MIT, Stanford, etc…

That’s great. I think you should add Princeton, Cooper Union to your list.

Princeton has very very generous subsidies from tuition, and Cooper Union is free.

Although speaking as a Cal Poly engineering graduate, I do think you will enjoy CP as well.

Dude, you are MIT, Caltech, Berkeley and Stanford material!

Leave state schools to poor people like me ;I

Have you considered Johns Hopkins?

I have considered JHU, working on the commonApp now. I’m considering using CPSLO as a stepping stone for graduate studies at JHU, etc… I’m aware that JHU’s BME program is ranked #1 in the nation; they’re pretty impressive!

buuummmmpp

I also applied for Biomedical Engineering, Early Decision.

ACT: 31
UC GPA: 4.27

What do you think my chances are?

Also, what is the earliest date Cal Poly will send out notifications for Early Decision?

Chances are excellent, ED notifications come out in early December. My son’s was dated December 9 a couple of years ago.

I think my daughter got ED admission notice (via the web site) on Dec 7th last year. So, odds are you will hear something next week. Good luck.

I just submitted regular decision to Cal Poly in BME major. My act is 29, my UC GPA is 4.07. I have a lot of weighted As, but becasuse I have 4 Bs and only it counts 8 weighted courses, my UC GPA ends 4.07. Do I have a chance?

@disasterprone where did you end up going?
