Is there anything I can do now to improve my chance of admission? I know my SAT I is pretty weak, but what if combining with other materials above?
Please help me! Thank a lot!

The one obvious weakness is the SAT-CR score, not that it is low by any stretch. Since you already have two excellent subject tests (Maths = 1), taking Bio is unnecessary for admissions. Take a look at the ACT. The English portion is a little less ‘tricky’, and you might find the ACT more to your learning style.

Other than that, write excellent essays and apply EA. Good luck.

Thanks a lot!
anyone else please?

Regular decision.

Dear ChenChenChen : Your profile caught my attention only because of the 1/20 ranking at an institution that does NOT support an AP/IB curriculum. Therefore the profile of the courses that you took during your High School years will be incredibly important as a component of your application to allow Boston College to properly interpret your education. For example, a US student that has not had any AP/IB exposure will see the value of their GPA generally downgraded compared to the applicant pool which will be heavily AP/IB biased. Your test scores certainly show that you have a grasp of academic material - the challenge will be to make sure that your High School curriculum is cast in the proper light.

To improve your chance of admissions, you will want to work with your guidance counselor or school principal immediately to make sure that your academic record includes details on your courses. You will also want to consider finding out from Boston College who will be reading international applications from your area of the globe.

Your pursuits in music, leadership, and all things academic are strong. Missing are elements of school spirit (sports and such), but you might well be able to use your volunteerism with the student affair’s office to demonstrate what you will add to the Boston College community aside from your strong academics. Your cultural diversity and experiences in that area are intriguing to the reader and hopefully these will play into your essay and consideration for Boston College.

Good luck in your collegiate search!

@scottj: Thank you so much for the warm encouragement and helpful advice. Thanks for pointing out the important factors and possible changes to do! I really appreciate your help!
