<p>I am wondering if I have a chance at any of these colleges. Please Chance me and I will chance back!!</p>

<p>Objective:
• African American Male, Georgia, First Generation college student
• SAT I (Single-sitting, second try): 2250
• SAT breakdown: M=790 , CR=730, W=730, 10 essay
• SAT II: US History (760), Math II (800)</p>

<p>• Unweighted GPA: 3.7 after first semester senior year? school doesn't send unweighted. I had a lot of B's my freshman and junior year due to family problems but I should get all A's my senior year
• Weighted GPA: 4.1 after second semester junior year
• Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Top 10%
• AP (place score in parenthesis): Calculus AB, Human Geography (4), Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Spanish Language, World History (5), U.S. Government, Physics B, English Language and Composition (4), Environmental Science (4), Psychology, U.S. History (5)</p>

<p>• Senior Year Course Load: AP Gov, AP Micro, AP Macro, AP Psych, AP Spanish Lang, AP Physics B, honors lit
• Rigor of Schedule: most Challenging</p>

-a little less than 150 hours </p>

<p>• Summer Activities:
-Went the highly selective United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar.
-Volunteered at local library
-Volunteered at my parents daycare
• Essays: Will be pretty good
• Teacher Recommendations: One is from a teacher who I did amazing in his class and loves me. Another will be from my lit teacher who saw when I stood up for someone when they were getting picked on and stuff like that
• Counselor Rec: Should be pretty good.</p>

<p>Your GPA and EC’s are pretty good, not outstanding but definitely decent. That said, you have some major hooks which is sure to help you anywhere you go. Your SAT is also quite good.</p>

<p>UGA and Gtech should be pretty easy for you. You should get into at least one between Rice, Vandy, and Georgetown. Brown, Penn, and Columbia still look like reach schools though. And I don’t think having a brother there helps you any, although I guess he could ask their admissions office and give you some tips or something.</p>

<p>Agreed, GPA and ECs are decent enough for a good shot at a few schools. URM helps too…
Lets see, out of the schools I know:</p>

<p>• Georgia Tech: Low Match
• Northwestern: Low reach/high match
• Rice: Low reach
• Vanderbilt: Low reach
• Georgetown (EA): Low reach/high match
• Brown: Reach
• UPENN: Reach
• Columbia (My brother goes here if it helps): Reach, if your brother’s enrollment means anything, then low reach.</p>

<p>Tough list, tougher customer. Looks like you’ll get into at least half of that list. Which ones? -shrug- depends which ones like and match you better. Good luck this application season!</p>

<p>I believe you have a decent chance for each of those, but work hard on your personal statement. Although, I believe you are a match for UGA. Don’t be demotivated by all the applicants on here, focus on yourself.</p>
