Chance for Brown PLME?

Hi — I’m happy to chance you – if you chance me too: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/538677-please-chance-me-i-d-really-really-appreciate.html

First off, let’s break down your stats. Your grades are very good, and you seem to have challenged yourself well in school. Your ACT is great, and your SATs are also pretty good. Your ECs are very good, and your awards are very impressive, since you have managed to get something at the national level. That should help you out a bit, especially with your high score on the Nat’l Chem Olympiad.

However, I’m sorry to say that it’s very difficult to get an admit to Brown PLME, even to Brown itself. Only 50 people are admitted into PLME each year. Sure, you’re doing research on biology-related material and you volunteered at a hospital, but alot of other prospective students also have that when they apply to PLME. I recommend that you should try to convey your passion for biology/medicine in your essays to the best of your ability - make the admissions officers feel that this is the thing you truly would want.

Chances:
Brown: reach (remember, it’s an Ivy - admission is a crapshoot)
Brown PLME: Far reach
