SAT score: 1590 for my first test (I definitely intend to improve on my upcoming test).
ACT score: 26 composite (30 English/27 Math).

Extracuriculars include:
4 year of badminton (3 years of varsity).
Treasurer of the Red Cross Club at my school.
National Honors Society for 2 years now.
Lifetime member of CSF.
100+ hours of community service.

I know my test scores are dragging me down, but do you think it's still a possible reach?
My alternative choices would be CSUF or UCI, but I don't know exactly how impacted the business programs are over there. If you can chance me on these 3 schools, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you for reading and for your input in advance!

Your grades are fine for all three schools. Your test scores are low unfortunately. I suggest that you hire a qualified tutoring service and consistently study and take as many practice tests as possible. My son used this service and dramatically improved his scores: [Compass Education Group](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/index.shtml)

If you improve your test scores you are a match for all three schools. Here is the student profile for Cal Poly: [Student Profile - Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)

Rigor of HS studies is important. For example, completing Calculus will result in additional admissions ‘points’ for an applicants. Since it is a CSU, some preference is given to applicants from their service area.

This might be of interest…it was a research project by a CP student. Check out sections 2, it shows the additional bonus points assigned based on HS curriculum

Thank you all for the feedback!
And I’ve been taking lots of practice SAT exams where i usually score around 1690-1730 now.
And thank you very much for the info dietz199! :)

Phew, and they disregard the writing section of the SAT (My lowest subject).
My math is slightly above the median and my CR is right in the median, so I guess that makes me feel a little bit better. Lol. If not, CSUF is still a great place.
