Chance for CALS?

<p>-Intend to major in Communications
-NY State resident
-~95 weighted GPA
-School doesn't rank
-2120 SAT (710 CR 700 M 710 W; single sitting, went up 150 pts from march)
-31 ACT
-Took 3 AP tests junior year (US, Lang and Comp, Bio, no scores yet..)
-SAT IIs are weak: 680 Bio 640 US History
-Extra Currics include Sports Editor of newspaper, Model UN, Photo Club, Track, Tutoring
-NHS/Spanish Honor Society
-Hopefully, my individuality will stand out through my social media ventures. Started my own 'name' of sorts that is growing quickly.</p>

<p>To be honest, you have a mediocre shot at admittance. Your GPA is a tad on the low side. What really harms your app though, is the very weak SAT 2 scores. At most schools it would not be such a big deal, but Cornell takes them into account. It’s not that your scores are bad, it’s just that they aren’t quite Cornell-level. CALS also recommends a math SAT subject test, so take that and see how you do. Also, you have decent EC’s, but they really want to see leadership if possible, so try and get leadership positions if still applicable. Basically, it’s definitely a pretty big reach, but still worth applying. Good luck!</p>
