Thanks for any help.

And any pointers would be appreciated as well.

I think you have a great chance at all of the schools but the only problem I see is GPA as the another person mentioned my friend got into Cornell with a 4.0 UW but I’m pretty sure they will give you a fair chance! Good Luck! chance me back ? :)

You have pretty good stats: high sat scores, ap ib whatnots. The low gpa may really hurt your chances, but in the big picture, there are alot of ways you can offset it. For uchicago, you’ll definitely need a strong essay to back up the low gpa. For carnegie and suny ithaca falls, you can probably make the cut with those awards.

That gpa is a bit of a problem but the sat and sat subjects are pretty good so with an exellent essay abd a bit of luck you may have a chance so go for it

I feel that the upward trend in your GPA can make your GPA less of a problem than what many people think.

Your test scores are great and demonstrate strong academic abilities. Decent ECs too.

I feel that Carnegie should be a match to low-reach for you unless you want to apply to study CS or CE because those are the most competitive majors. Cornell and Chicago are low reaches, and would depend on other factors like essays and recommendations. But you are definitely qualified scores and ECs wise.

I don’t even know why people are worrying about your grades. If you made a 2340 on the SAT that will grace any Bs you might have had, and your IB diploma along with all the APs you’ve taken should be more than enough to get you into at least one of the three. What it’ll come down to in the end is luck to be honest. But in light of that, best of luck on your applications! Kill the essays.
