Please tell/estimate my chances, I really want to attend NYU CAS.

Good GPA. SAT is a little low. but everything else looks great! I think you will get it :smiley:
p.s.- i am applying to NYU CAS too. ED1 (:

Hard to tell…

Your GPA (is that unweighted?) is good

Being a first-gen college student is also good

Graduating in three years rather than four (if I’m reading correctly?) I would say is good. Some people might disagree, but I’ve found that graduating in three years rather than four has helped me get into schools I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. Just some anecdotal stuff.

The SAT scores are sub par though. Around 2000+ is normal for NYU. So that’s going to hurt you.

Whether or not the rest of your application can outweigh your low(ish) SAT scores, I cannot say.

I would say it’s a mid-reach school for you.

@alisha4NY

Hopefully. Hopefully we both get in, I’m a bit worried about the SAT score:(. I’m doing regular decision.

Thanks for the reply NYU2013. This is my dream school, so hopefully it is a reach.

Your senior year course load looks a bit easier than those of previous years. SAT is about 150 points below the NYU average. Also, is your GPA weighted or unweighted?

If unweighted, you’re probably in despite your low SAT score. If weighted, it depends what your unweighted GPA is.

Unweighted
