Any other recommendations are welcome, I'm interested in computer science and engineering. I'm not sure where else to look.

Where are you in state? I think you have relatively good chances at both schools.

Other schools I can think of
Stony brook
Georgia Tech
Uva
Rpi
Northeastern

Im in cali. The thing is I feel my EC’s are pretty weak and I don’t have much of a chance in that department. I don’t know how much they affect admissions for either CMU or berekely

I would not say your ECs are that weak and for your major, you definitely have a chance at the top engineering colleges. Your weakness is mainly GPA though. Good luck!

Its just that one class I have a B+ in rather than an A- (ffuuuuu calc bc) which I can’t drop for AB. Also being forced into multivar which im sure I’ll get a B in as well.

You have a decent chance for both schools. Your ECs are good but be sure to group them(all the programming ones together, all community service together) with the most involved/time consuming first, otherwise it looks scattered.

Overall weighted UC gpa is 4.18 if that helps (Its max 8 honors points right?)

It could be 4.5 depending on whether honors points are added to semester courses or overall years. (I’m really not sure)

Quick bump if I was applying to EECS berkely instead of L&C
