Essays: For MIT, my long essays (250 Words) were about my passion for autism and how my younger brother, who has autism, has shaped my aspirations. One essay(creativity one) was about how I tought an autistic child to read through my workshop, using the piano.
For Columbia essay, I talked about the social norms associated with being Asian.
I am primarily interested in these universities for research(on autism and other forms of mental retardation, of course) Is this good for the match between me and MIT?
Recs: amazing from all teachers. Talked about my passion about helping those with autism and finding a soultion to this problem.
Personal:
Male, first generation college student.
Location: New York
Ethnicity: Asian (noooo!)
I come from a low income family. This probably dosen't matter since they're need blind.

What are my chances? Is it a reach, big reach, impossible(go to community college, lol), or a low reach. It's defienetly not a match for anyone applying.
Thank You!
