bump 10char

You have decent ECs and awards, but that GPA is really going to hurt you. Columbia will be a rather high reach.

i figured as much…im pretty sure I could retake my SAT’s and get 2350+, but im not sure if that would make enough of a difference.

bump please

Bump 10char

Are you anywhere near the top of your class? Most unhooked successful applicants a number 1 or 2 in their class.

its hard to tell because my school doesn’t rank, but i doubt it.

Your school has lots of grade distribution data that they give colleges to show where you rank. I’m sure your counselor will give you an idea or copy of your school profile.

And a hint for the essay. The fact is, Columbia doesn’t care if they’re your GOP choice. Some lower ranked LACs might. But Columbia has masses banging down their gate and your interest in them is not a factor. It’s whether they’re interested in you unfortunately.
