chance for Columbia RD 2014?

GPA: 97.4 UW
Rank: 1/404
SAT 1: 2240 superscored
SAT 2: 790 Chem, 740 Math 2
AP: Calc AB 5, chem 5, environmental science 5, english lang 4, World history 3, US History 2(Hope this dosen't kill me) Will end up with 11 AP's by the end of senior year. Hardest courseload possible in school.
EC: A few minor school ones(math team, science, environmental society, spanish honor society, tutoring)
Outisde school: research with doctor on chelation therapy and autism, independent research on ayurvedic treatments for autism, reading and writing workshop for autistic children, tutoring high school children, over 150+ hours of community service at local temple.
Awards: Rensselear Medal Winner, AP Scholar with Distinction(Junior year), Valedictorian, Regents Exam Scholarship, High Honor Roll for all years.
Recs: excellent and amazing.
Essay: about the limitations in society of Indian American adolescents.
Personal:
Live in NY
Indian
Parents have o.k. jobs and have only bachelors' degrees at some college in India
Income: 30-40 K per year.
What are my chances for RD?

<p>Hey! I’m going to post my stats too here, if you don’t mind…</p>

<p>want to apply to Columbia’s class of 2014 - Regular Decision. Just got deferred from Stanford. Columbia was always my second choice though.</p>

<p>SATs:
Math - 750
Writing - 780
Critical Reading - 770</p>

<p>ACTs:
Just took them yesterday - hoping for a 34 or higher.</p>

<p>SATIIs:
Chem - 740, MathII - 770, French - Just took the December one, but think it went pretty well Not sure which one I’ll submit - depends if it beats my 760 U.S. History</p>

<p>GPA - About a 4.0 unweighted my junior year - my school doesn’t do weighted, and none of my official grades have come out for senior year (We go by semesters.)</p>

<p>School Type - Fairly competitive private school - Considered one of the top in New Jersey - Rank ~10%, but we don’t get ranks.</p>

<p>Junior year grades:
American Lit (my school doesn’t offer the A.Ps, but we are encouraged to take both the Literature & Language Exams ) - 5 on both - A for the year
A.P. Psychology - A+ & 5 on the exam
A.P. B.C Calculus - A+ & 5 on the exam
A.P. U.S. History - A- & 5 on the exam
French IV Pre-Ap - A+
Physics I - A/A+
Also took the A.P. Human Geography Exam & got a 5.</p>

In total, through m yschool and outside, I’ve done about 100 hours of volunteering.</p>

<p>I THINK my essays are pretty good, m yteachers eem to like them. I’ve had my math teacher since sophomore y ear, so I’m hoping for a good rec from him. This is my third year with my French teacher, so likewise.</p>

<p>Also - Summer programs at Brown for 2 years, spent a summer at an NJ boarding school at a competitive, application-only program about Human Rights. I’m a first generation AMERICAN university student, not a complete first generation college student though. </p>

<p>I also have some work experience - I’ve been a part of my mother’s small business since I was10, just learning some administrative tasks & how the business world works .</p>

<p>btw, lola, your outside of school extracurriculars are AMAZING! some of your ap scores are weakish, but the fact that you’re valedictorian is awesome in any case. i bet your outside of school research really helps you.</p>
