I think you are DEFINITELY in at Columbia! Boston University is a no-brainer :-). Johns Hopkins is a very low reach and Harvard is just a universal reach for applicants. Overall, you are uber-competitive. Congrats on your accomplishments! Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/816473-chance-aa-female-elite-schools-updated-stats.html</a> <—Also include Yale with the other chance schools

Holy freaking crapolo awesome stats!

Columbia - Very good chance ED. I’d say High match/low reach (nobody is a shoe-in)
Harvad - Reach
J Hop - Match
Boston - In

thanks for chancing me guys.

more people chance please, I WILL CHANCE BACK!

Thanks for chancing me =)

Columbia-match
Harvard-reach(may be possible)
JHU-match
BU-safety

0.0 I envy your nerdiness…and EC-ness and engineering-ness and research-ness…whatever, you have a very strong profile. I think you have a very good chance of getting into Columbia.

You are definitely in for Columbia!
Please chance me back!

You have a great chance at Columbia! As long as your essays reflected your intelligence, which is clearly evident in your test scores, and your dedication, which is shown in your ECs, I think you’ll be very happy come the 15th (or sooner, hopefully! I wish they would tell us the date!) They’d be crazy not to accept you.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/736119-columbia-ed-georgetown-uw-d.html</a></p>

info not on there: rank: 9/~660 (top 2%), junior year ap scores: all 5s, co-editor in chief of newspaper, treasurer of JSA, taking ap micro econ, ap stats, ap calc, ap lit and positive psych at cc senior year, all As on quarter grades.

Thanks!

For the schools you are applying to, your

SAT’s (both 1 and 2) are above average, you have an impressive courseload, great scores on IB.

I’m not sure how involved you are with the EC’s you say you have a “significant” involvement in, especially since you didn’t list any awards with Science Bowl, but I think you really nailed your chances to Columbia with the Intel award. Finalist? I mean, Hook!

I don’t know how much the Columbia summer program will help, as I don’t know if it’s one of those $$ summer programs or the ones that are difficult to get into, but

Columbia - Low Reach
Harvard - Reach
JHU - Match
Boston - Match

thanks guys for chancing me

I thought my essay was pretty good, one of the best things i’ve ever written, I got great reactions on it (one person said it gave them goosebumps lol).

for science bowl i put team captain, i forgot to mention that here. but i didn’t put the bowls we entered because we didn’t win anything officially (we advanced, but i didn’t think it was significant enough to mention).

summer program is more of the $$ type, more for my own enjoyment, but i got letters of recommendation from my professors saying i was ranked #1 out of everyone who took the class.

my main issues is that I’m from long island which is INSANELY competitive! =/

and whoops my college class years is obviously 2014, not 2013

In at all colleges except harvard. You NEVER know about harvard but you are one of the best applicants I have seen.

thanks, I have my Harvard interview soon but hopefully i’ll get in CU ED and get to withdraw my application lol

yea you definitely have a good chance at getting in. However when applying to the top ivys like columbia, yale, harvard, and princeton it can sometimes be a flip of the coin.
Good luck

you have a great chance.
Columbia - reach
Harvard - high reach
JHU - match
Boston - safety.

Gud luck.

Columbia University-low reach/ high match
Harvard University-reach
Johns Hopkins University-match
Boston University-in

Your scores, awards, and EC’s are insane. You have a great chance at every school except for Harvard, but, then again, it’s Harvard. I’d trust a coin flip more than I’d trust great stats for that school.

Columbia U - You seem right on spot for this very good SAT Scores perfect unweighted GPA!

Harvard - Reach, people with all AP and honors courses with perfect GPA’s are usually rejected, the people who get in do something very significant that sticks out. Although your SAT’s are amazing you do have a shot.

Boston University - lol. A big fall back college I assume?

Columbia - very good chance
Harvard - With a school like this its basically luck. You have the stats to get in, but you can never know for sure.
Hopkins - IN
BU- UBER IN
