Spanish and English were both taught to me at young age but I learned English better

SAT: 1980 (720 M, 690 W, 570 CR, 10 Essay) Probably not sending this
SAT2s: 780 Math II, 670 U.S. History
APs so far: European History (3), U.S. History (4), Eng Lang (4), Comp. Gvmt. (5), AB Calc (5)
Senior Course Load: AP Psych, AP Calc BC, AP Bio, AP Physics B, AP Economics, Creative Writing, Lit, Computer Apps</p>

<p>Took 3 years of Spanish in school (to make my spanish better) and 2 years of German. I aced those classes. I am teaching myself French this summer and am getting pretty decent at it.</p>

<p>I have taken many honors classes 9-11 grade too, such as Physics, Chem, Bio, Precalc, etc.</p>

JV Soccer 9+10 Grade (Captain)

<p>Awards: Many school awards for doing well in classes, such as physics, precalc h, etc.
German award which was more on a county level. </p>

<p>Teacher Recommendations: I think they will be very good.</p>

<p>Essay: Still thinking about it, perhaps about one of my trips that I took to Colombia, should be pretty good.</p>

<p>Schools considering in Cornell:
Human Ecology, Agriculture and Life Science (maybe), Arts and Sciences (secondary choice probably)</p>

<p>I’d say you have an OK chance. The ACT score is average for Cornell. Definitely not bad, but not particularly spectacular. Your GPA, which is arguably the most important thing in addition to your course rigor, is great. Being a URM will also help (although if they sense the fact that you’re very well off, then it might downplay the significance). Your EC’s are very sports heavy, and are decent at best.</p>

<p>Okay thanks! But yes, my GPA is pretty good, and I forgot to mention that I have a very strong upward trend, which is also helpful. Any other insight?</p>
